Indian cities can wear on you. It truly can feel like a concrete (and dirt and traffic) jungle. But just when you're resigned to the hardscape around you, something will pop up like a flower to give you a smile.
In Bangalore, we found these two gems while wandering around. A flyover column all arted up -- a much-needed reprieve from the mass of surrounding concrete:
A mattress store. Who buys a hot, ruby red mattress? And if red wasn't your thing, you could have flower prints, orange, pink, you name it. Mattresses as fashion statement. Fantastic! And dare we say, a bit sexy?
